May I Opt Out of The Low Rise Pension Plan?

No. It is a requirement of the Low Rise Collective Agreement that contributions be remitted on your behalf to the Low Rise Pension Plan.

May I Switch My Membership to the ICI/High Rise Pension Plan?

Yes. You may elect at any time to participate in the ICI Plan. All future contributions will be remitted to the ICI Plan. Your existing Low Rise Pension Plan contributions will continue to earn investment income, and cannot be transferred to the ICI Plan. This option is irrevocable, meaning that you cannot rejoin the Low Rise Pension Plan at a later date after you have elected to join the ICI Plan. More information regarding the ICI Pension Plan is provided in the booklet.
